Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how AttractRavingFans.com (the “Site”) — owned and operated by Alan (“we,” “us,” or “our”) as a sole proprietorship based in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, United States — collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you visit the Site, subscribe to our email list, purchase a product, course, or coaching package, or otherwise interact with us.
By using AttractRavingFans.com you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site.
1. Scope and Audience
AttractRavingFans.com is intended for adult users in the United States. We do not knowingly market to or accept memberships from minors, and we do not target the European Economic Area (“EEA”), the United Kingdom, or other non-U.S. jurisdictions. However, because the Site is accessible globally, we may at times receive information from visitors located outside the United States, including in the EEA and the UK. Where applicable, this Policy describes rights extended to those visitors under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA/CPRA”).
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in three general ways: information you give us directly, information collected automatically, and information from third-party services we use to operate the Site.
a. Information You Provide Directly
We may collect personal information that you choose to provide when you:
- subscribe to our email list or download a free resource (name, email address, sometimes country or interest tags);
- purchase a product, course, coaching package, or other paid offering (name, billing address, email, phone number where requested, and information needed to fulfill the purchase);
- communicate with us by email, contact form, comment, or social channel (the contents of your message and any information you choose to include);
- submit a testimonial, case study, or survey response;
- create an account or profile within any membership area we may offer.
b. Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically through cookies, pixels, server logs, and similar technologies, including:
- IP address and approximate location (city/region/country) derived from your IP;
- browser type, device type, operating system, and language settings;
- referring URL and pages viewed, time on page, clicks, and exit pages;
- date and time of access, and similar diagnostic data.
c. Information from Third Parties
We may receive information about you from third-party tools we use to run the Site, including:
- our email service provider (subscription status, open/click activity, unsubscribes, bounce data);
- our website analytics provider (aggregated usage and traffic data — see Section 4);
- our payment processor (transaction confirmations, partial card information such as last-four digits and brand, billing zip — we do not receive or store full payment-card numbers);
- social platforms when you interact with our content there or click on a sign-in/share button.
d. Sensitive Information
We do not request or knowingly collect government-identification numbers, financial-account credentials, health information, biometric identifiers, or other categories of “sensitive personal information” as defined under U.S. state privacy laws.
e. Spam and Bot Protection
To protect our forms from spam and automated abuse, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, a bot-detection service provided by Cloudflare, Inc. When you interact with a form on our Site, Turnstile automatically collects certain technical signals from your device, including your IP address, a TLS and browser fingerprint, your browser's user-agent string, and the form's site key and originating domain, and may use strictly necessary cookies or similar local storage. Cloudflare uses this information solely to distinguish humans from automated bots and to keep the Site secure. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking, and Cloudflare states that it cannot directly identify you from these signals. Cloudflare processes this data on our behalf as a data processor (and, for the limited purpose of improving its detection technology, as a controller). For more information, see Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Policy and Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies (pixels, web beacons, local storage) to operate, secure, and improve the Site. Cookies fall into the following general categories:
- Strictly necessary cookies — required for the Site to function (e.g., load balancing, session management, fraud prevention).
- Functional cookies — remember your preferences (e.g., language, prior input).
- Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it.
- Marketing/email cookies — set by our email service provider to associate your email activity with your visit (e.g., to fill in a form you have previously completed).
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect the functionality of the Site.
4. Analytics
We use Google Analytics (or a comparable analytics provider) to understand aggregate visitor behavior on the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to collect information such as pages viewed, session duration, approximate location, device type, and referral source. This information is processed in a manner that does not personally identify individuals to us, although Google may process it under its own terms.
You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On or by adjusting your cookie preferences in your browser.
5. Email and Marketing Communications
We use a third-party email service provider (for example, Mailchimp, ConvertKit, Klaviyo, or a similar platform) to manage our email lists and send newsletters, product updates, course communications, coaching notifications, and promotional messages. When you subscribe, your name, email address, and certain engagement data (open rates, clicks, signup source) are processed by that provider on our behalf.
In accordance with the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act and similar laws, every marketing email we send contains a clear unsubscribe link. You may also email support-team@attractravingfans.com at any time to be removed from marketing communications. We may continue to send transactional or account-related messages (purchase receipts, course-access notifications, refund-policy reminders, and similar) where reasonably necessary, regardless of marketing-opt-out status.
6. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- operate, maintain, and secure the Site;
- deliver the products, courses, downloads, coaching, and other services you request;
- send transactional communications (receipts, access links, schedule confirmations, customer-service replies);
- send marketing communications you have opted in to receive, and personalize their content;
- understand how the Site is used and improve our Content and user experience;
- detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our terms;
- comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our agreements.
7. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK Visitors)
If you are located in the EEA or the UK, our legal bases for processing your personal information are:
- Contract — to provide products, courses, coaching, or services you have purchased.
- Consent — for optional uses such as marketing emails, non-essential cookies, and similar; you may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve the Site, communicate with existing customers about similar offerings, and prevent fraud, where such interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligation — to comply with applicable law (e.g., tax recordkeeping).
8. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. We share information only as described below:
- Service providers that help us operate the Site (web hosting, email service, analytics, payment processing, customer support tooling, CRM, AI tooling used to draft or review content). These providers are contractually limited to using the information only to perform services for us.
- Affiliate, sponsorship, and referral partners — when you click an affiliate link on the Site, your interaction is governed by that third party’s own privacy practices. We may receive limited reporting data (such as whether a transaction occurred) but typically do not receive your personal information from those partners.
- Legal and safety — when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of AttractRavingFans.com, our users, or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, sale of assets, financing, or acquisition involving the business, in which case the receiving party will be required to honor this Policy or notify you of any material changes.
Some U.S. state privacy laws (including California’s) treat certain cross-context behavioral advertising and analytics cookie activity as “sharing” or “sale,” even when no money changes hands. To the extent any such activity occurs on the Site, you may exercise the rights described in Section 11 below.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including:
- providing the products and services you have purchased and the support that accompanies them;
- maintaining business and financial records (typically up to seven (7) years for tax and accounting purposes);
- complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements;
- maintaining marketing-list records until you unsubscribe, plus a reasonable suppression-list retention to honor your opt-out.
When information is no longer needed, we delete, anonymize, or de-identify it using commercially reasonable methods.
10. Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, and destruction. These include encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, reputable third-party processors, and minimization of stored data. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You provide information to us at your own risk and are responsible for keeping any account credentials confidential.
11. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding the personal information we hold about you:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction — request that inaccurate or incomplete information be corrected.
- Deletion — request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal and business retention requirements.
- Portability — request a copy of your personal information in a portable format (EEA/UK and certain U.S. states).
- Opt-out of marketing — at any time, via the unsubscribe link in any email or by emailing us.
- Opt-out of “sale” or “sharing” — under the CCPA/CPRA and similar U.S. state laws, you may request that we not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. As stated above, we do not sell personal information for money.
- Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
- Lodge a complaint — EEA/UK residents may contact their local supervisory authority; California residents may contact the California Privacy Protection Agency or the Office of the Attorney General.
To exercise any right, contact us at support-team@attractravingfans.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling the request, and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
California “Shine the Light”
California residents may request, once per calendar year, a list of any personal information disclosed to third parties for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes during the prior calendar year. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
12. Children’s Privacy
AttractRavingFans.com is intended for adult users only. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly accept memberships, purchases, or email subscriptions from minors. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact support-team@attractravingfans.com and we will promptly delete it. This Site is not designed to comply with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) because it is not directed at children under 13.
13. International Visitors and Data Transfers
The Site is operated from the United States, and any information you provide is processed and stored in the United States. If you are visiting from the EEA, the UK, or another jurisdiction whose privacy laws differ from U.S. law, please note that by using the Site you are transferring your information to the United States, where data-protection rules may be different from those in your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) with our service providers for any cross-border transfers of personal information.
14. Do Not Track
Some web browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) setting. There is currently no industry consensus on how to respond to DNT signals, so the Site does not currently respond to DNT signals. You can still control tracking through your browser settings, cookie preferences, and the opt-out mechanisms described in this Policy.
15. Third-Party Links and AI-Assisted Content
The Site may contain links to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties; we encourage you to read their privacy policies before sharing information with them.
Portions of the Content on the Site are created, drafted, researched, reviewed, or edited with the assistance of AI tools (including large language models). When we use such tools, we do not knowingly provide your personal information to those tools for training or any purpose unrelated to drafting or editing public-facing content. See our Legal Disclaimer for more on the use and limitations of AI-assisted content.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised Policy on this page and update the “Last Updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated through the Site or, where appropriate, by email. Your continued use of the Site after any change indicates your acceptance of the revised Policy.
